Need new HSF for phenom & SG01-e

Hey guys,

I haven't been really keeping up w/ the SFF developments lately because I've been very happy w/ my SG01-e. I just got a great deal on a new mATX mobo and 4 gigs of ram so I'm doing a partial update I guess (New mobo, CPU w/ HSF, more ram, but keeping case, psu, gpu, HDDs and optical drives).

The CPU I have in now is an X2 4200+, and the stock heat sink has worked fine, but it seems like I'll have to be paying for a new HSF for a quad phenom because the BE's don't come w/ HSFs (and the non BE's come w/ crummy looking ones). I have not bought my CPU yet (waiting till between now and black friday to get a deal), but I'm planning on getting one of the 125 watt quads. I'm not to familiar with their heat output, and I'm not really familiar with and good heatsinks that would fit in my case, so what I'm asking is for some suggestions.

Also, if anybody has a suggestion on a cheap HTPC case (my old mobo/cpu will be turning into one), I'd appreciate it.
 
I really like my Scythe Shuriken. It cools well and is pretty dang quiet even at full speed and good price. I'm planning on putting a larger 100mm fan soon when I start OCing

That looks very nice! I think I may have just found my new HSF, unless anybody has any other suggestions. BTW, what revision of the case are you using, my SG01-e has that HDD enclosure mounted the opposite way.
 
He has the SG01-F, but the main difference as far as dimensions go is the hard drive bay.

I have the NT06-Lite, although I would suggest getting the NT06-E, mine cools my Q9300 adequately well, although I am not overclocking at all, so your mileage may vary, and the Phenom is rated at 125W while mine is one of the new whiz-bang 95W 45nm processors, so it probably runs cooler.

I would steer clear of the Zalman coolers, it did not do a good job cooling my processor, and attaching it to the motherboard was the second most difficult hardware-related task I ever did, second only to taking the thing off after I was fed up with it.

They come with a very scythe shurken looking cooler UNLESS IT IS OEM.
It performs on the same level as the shuriken. The only upgrade may or may not be the Zalman CNPS 8700.

O'rly? Can anybody confirm this? I was under the impression the BE's were HSF-less, and I still kind of am...

I googled the cooler earlier and read that review, it seemed like it was on the up and up to me, but if it comes w/ a half decent stock cooler I won't worry about it.
