Been a while since I have upgraded, and lost touch on best cpu/mobo combo. Any suggestions? Trying to stay under $600 for both. Mainly for gaming, but some photo editing.

Maybe some overclocking...maybe not...If I do, it will be air cooling only. Kind of lazy these days.

$600 for just cpu and mobo? man, I could build a whole rig for that 
umm..I'd get a 975 based mobo (like DFI infinity 975x/g) along with a Core 2 Duo..

That is what I was thinking...I have been out of touch on latest hardware. I have more to spend, but want to keep mobo/cpu under $600. I also need memory and vid card, but know enough to get that fine. Thanks all for the suggestions...keep them coming.
