I currently have a Dayton Audio DTA-100a T amp but the headphone port is starting to go out, I have to wiggle it around to get both sides of my headset to work. I was thinking about getting a Nuforce uDAC-2 and ditching my sound car altogether (X-Fi Xtreme Gamer) but I am not sure if it will work with my Dayton Audio Sub-1000 and b652's. Thanks

you still need an amp with that. i would look at the topping TP30 if you do not have high end headphones.

before writing the DTA-100a off you might want to get some Deoxit and try cleaning the headphone port

and or take the thing apart and look for solder joint issues on the headphone jack...

assuming of course it is out of warranty ...if it is under warranty you could probably get them to swap it.

it sounds as if your plan is to use the uDAC as a dac for for the DTA-100a (which speaker outs still work fine)

that should work

there is no shortage of options of stuff that should work

this is more expensive but I like this thing

I'll try looking inside to see if there is anything obviously broken or damaged. It is sadly out of warranty, how is the TP30 vs the DTA-100a
