I currently run a Intel X25-M 120gb as my os/game drive; and I simply need more room. The new Intel 520 launch has me looking; but is it worth it to buy a current gen SSD when my EVGA x58 doesn't support 6GB/s?

I'm happy with my X25-M; but buying a matching drive is ~same price as a brand new 520. Stability being more important at this point than performance I think (Any stable SSD will be fast enough I think). I'm leaning toward waiting a week or two oping an Intel 320 drops in price and snapping one up..

So... Opinions?
 
Good drives go on sale quite frequently. Just sign up for the newegg and tigerdirect e-mail ads and check slickdeals every day. Within a month you'll find a ridiculous deal -- usually on something like the HyperX.

In terms of 6 Gbps vs 3 Gbps... I have a hard time finding 3's that are much cheaper than 6's unless you're buying used on eBay where the age factor can knock off some $$$. So why bother with 3's at this point unless they're on sale for a great price? The big thing to consider IMO is synchronous vs. asynchronous NAND.
