Need LCD help, not the 710...

But the Samsung 712N, Compusa/BestBuy/CircuitCity are all selling it for $380. I've been thinking about buying an LCD for a while, because I need something for my dorm room, my current moniter is deeper than my desk. So I've been looking at the 712 since it's on sale, I have pretty much decided to pick one up this evening, but I figured I'd see what some different people have to say. So, convince me one way or the other.
 
712N is the retailers version of the 710N. They are the exact same panel. Refer to samsung's website and their product descriptions vary only by name (even their short summary). The 712N will obviously perform very well, but the lack of DVI may become noticeable, and if you wait for a good dell sale, you can spend $50 more and get yourself DVI (which will replace analog in the near future). The true per-pixel coloring of DVI is definitely something to consider, but if you're strapped for money and want and LCD anyways, the 712N will suit you fine.
 
I'm really not sure that I could scrounge up another $50 any time soon, but thanks for the input. Anyone else have any opinions?
 
Just a follow up for any who might care....

I bought the screen last night and I've been messing with it, running a few different games and videos and whatnot, and I think I'm in love. I have it set up as my primary screen and my old moniter as a duplicate. This way I can watch movies or play games on my 712N while I web surf on my 19 inch CRT.
