I'm looking for a new laptop, my old Thinkpad finally took a shit on me, after years of quality service. Anyway, [H] I need some advice, I'm looking for a thin and light, 13" with a real world battery life of 4+ hours and as much performance as possible. Budget is around $1K. Thanks for your help.

OP, just get another ThinkPad. Lenovo has a refurb store where you can get some serious deals.
