Need info on this pump

that's a damn impressive head rating.........coupled with reasonable wattage that looks like one hell of a pump.
 
The way that pump works is that it runs on 24v. At 12v it pumps 900 lph. It is the same pump as the AP900, just with the overvolt. The powerbrick supplies the high wattage. For clarity, the power brick plugs into a molex and converts 12v to 24v or increments in between.
 
It'd be nice if it weren't for the fact you not only have the pump to locate in the loop you have this big-ass power brick (Yeah, I'm gonna get flamed for it but face it, the damned thing is bigger than the pump.) to locate in your case.

Couple that with the price and it's not quite the uber setup. Besides, the D5 is also 24V compatible, if you can supply the 24V to one you'll probably get a comparable performance increase.

ohh i agree for sure. the brick is big, but i think you could like hide it in a 5 1/4in or 3 1/2in bay or something. and i dunno if its bigger then the pump, but it is beefy.
 
Well, look at the side by pic, it's definitely longer and looks to be as tall if not taller. I think it's only smaller in width. I'd still be interested to see what happens when you hook a D5 up to 24V though....
