Have simple scheme in my case of clear blue led fans and uv green cable sheathing. Looks pleasing except for Massive black 120x38mm YS-Tech fan mounted on XP120 hs.
It's like a black hole in the center of galaxy of stars. What can I do with this black beast ?

paint it with UV paint. Here is a quick ghetto way guide--->Click me! (ps. click on the forum link at the end of the guide for more tips and suggestions) :)

Obviously, you can take your time and do it up better, like painting the cross bars and such, but the concept is there at least. :D

Or you could just drill and install some blue leds into it, like the original LED fans.

Won't be as pretty as UV paint though, but will work when the UV isn't lit up.

Mod one of these onto the fan with a 120mm grill (or whatever). I put one of those in a case a while back, and it's REALLY bright!! Since the ccfl is held with a clear plastic bracket, it should be easy enough to mod. :)

The only problem I'd have with spraying the fan blades would be how easy it might be to get it on too heavy, and unbalance the fan. It'd be a shame to take a perfectly good fan and mess it up by burning up the bearings prematurely.

The idea i plan on using is to find a plexi fan grill and mod a blue hdd activity led into it.

You could always buy a 120mm blue led fan too.

I bought an evercool aluminum 120mm fan w/ quad blue LEDs...it actually adds extra mass of aluminum and does about 80cfm...plenty of air and blends into the XP-120 very well.

Well I was thinking about buying a Coolermaster 120mm LED fan for my XP-120, nice and quiet, and relatively high CFM. If you want to keep your YS Tech, I wouldnt reccomend getting a round CCFL, it gives off a LOT of heat, I know I have one in my xbox. It melted the glue I used to hold it in place :)

...too much heat, and too much chance of things going up in smoke. I've had an inverter fry - fortunately I was bedding it in in a P200 so it' didn't take anything expensive with it...

So yeah, LEDs would be the way to go.
Without reading the UV post I would suggest something along those lines, and use some UV LEDs
