ok, going to be getting the polk monitor 50 floor standing speakers and am looking for a good sub 300 with shipping included receiver. one that i can build a system with as time goes on. thanks for any suggesttions

That leaves you about $130 for the receiver, I would suggest you look for used receivers from eBay or craigslist...if not, then I'd suggest something like this

Like the Trends Audio amp. Great deal. Well, you might need a reciever. That ONKYO is not bad. I would look for something used though.

I thought his budget was $300, if he got the X-Sub that would leave him with under $80 for a receiver...
