Need helping finding a laptop to replace my desktop for college

Headed to college as a freshman this fall. Here's where I'm at so far:
Solid build quality, around $1000, good screen (preferably 1920), and similar performance to my current PC.

I need to run Photoshop and Lightroom to edit my photography. Also, I want a relatively color accurate screen. I've been eyeing up the XPS 15/15z. Also, GPU wise, I want something close to my GTX 260. That way I can play most of my games away from home if need be. Any other recommendations?
 
go with Dell precision with RGBLED for photography.

consider a dock capable laptop and external monitor?
