Im trying to get a system running, mainly for Flight Simulator 2004, I think the more ram will be useful but I can always buy more later if I go with the second config, but I will have a slower processor, which one?. Gotta keep all those parts under $420.

1. WD 80BB
2. Mushkin Blue Line 512MB PC2700
3. GeforceFX 5700NU evga
4. Athlon 2400+ Retail
5. Biostar M7NCD Pro nforce2 ultra

OR

1. WD 80BB
2. Mushkin Blue Line 256MB PC2700
3. GeforceFX 5900
4. Athlon 2000+ (tbred) Retail
5. Biostar M7NCD Pro nforce2 ultra

is there anyway you can make the first config a 5700 ultra? i mean, you got some overly expensive RAM in there, and possibly drop the proc a wee speed bit?
256MBs just don't cut it no more, unless you run 98 or linux (imo - winxp is ugly to me under 256MBs ram)

But anyway you look at it, the 2nd config will be the faster one gaming wise, I can always get more ram later, and Im planning on OC'ing the 2000 to atleast 2400+ speeds, also the 256mb Mushkin ram is only $44.
