need help with vista install problem... says cd-rom driver missing

Installing vista 64 bit business on a new build. I have an asus drw-1814blt sata dvd-rw drive. After the language selection part, a message pops up saying "a required cd/dvd drive device driver is missing" and then asks me to install them. I downloaded the driver program from the asus website, thinking that I'll just put the drivers on a cd-rw disc and transfer them to the new pc, but the damn program wont run unless the sata drive is connected to the computer that the program is on. What should I do?
 
Unfortunately, no. The dvd drive on the computer that I'm on right now is broken, and the drive I was going to burn the drivers to is in a laptop. Go figure.
 
I saw this error last night installing Vista on a friend's computer. Updating the DVD-RW's firmware did the trick.
