Need help with thermalright fan clips..

It is my first time installing a bolt in heatsink and utilizing fan clips. I for the life of me, can not seem to figure how to use this clips to hold my fans onto the heatsink, properly.

I've probably spent maybe 2hrs fingering with it and looking online for instructions. First the thermalright instructions are fail and or, I could just be a dumbass.

My heatsink is the 1FX-14, and I am trying to install 2 fans onto it. I have 1 fan with open hole usage while my other one is enclosed(I heard I need to saw this or something?)

During the installation, Is there any bending involved? I didn't want to do any physical deforming until I got proper education on the matter , so can someone give me advice?

Interesting. This installation is a little more obvious. However is it the right way? Is there any right way? or is there multiple options you can undertake?

I believe the pictures in the link I provided show the correct way of mounting. That goes in line with how I've used Thermalright fan clips before on coolers like the SI-128 and XP120.

Oh wow I just gave it a try, it worked perfectly. It snapped right on without much effort. I love you man!

I suppose trying to reference other heatsinks and their take on fan clips, wont help out much unless your looking at your own heatsink and fanclip. Like the True is slightly different as they provide this tiny hole to hook the clips onto the heatsink, if I am correct.

EDIT: You don't happen to have a guide somewhere about cutting the closed screw fans? I have this spare CM fan, that is enclosed but I want to use it to test fan setups.

Just dremel the closing off. That's the best option I can think of.
