Need help with surround display set up

Hi all

I have three ASUS vg248 monitors set up in surround. Using two MSI 770 Lightning's in SLI.

I love the gaming aspect of this set up but have a few cons.

1. Opening apps like word or power point and expanding to full screen is not what I would want to see meaning it expands to all three monitors. Don't get me wrong I love my job but common that is just not right LOL.

2. Watching movies I understand that there is not a movie made out there that will allow for a quality res of 5760 by 1080. But to limit my accessibility while watching a movie is somewhat dumb. Meaning while watching a movie on center screen the other two are blank. It would be nice to open and see another webpage or do some research on the other screen.

Here is my questions:

1. Is there a site that addresses these issues, that someone can point me to? I mean a good site like HardoCP Where questions get good answers and not a lets get into a pissing contest over which "card" is bigger BS.

2. I am sure most have had these questions as I do early on in implementing the surround conversation? If so how do you address them or do you all just live with the only feature this really offers and that is amazing gaming experience.

3. Is there something I can do in NVidia that will allow a hotkey to shut off surround and will allow me to activate all the monitors so I can use them while I am watching a movie or YouTube? I know of the shut off hotkey but that limits you to just one screen when activated. Kinda defeats the purpose of three monitors.

4. Using office tools is there a way to expand say word to only fit one window and say internet to fit another and then again You tube on the other. Again is there a work around, or hot key to accomplish.

Anyway go easy on me this is my first surround set up and learning is my goal in the process.

This has been an ongoing issue for years now, and sadly our friends here at [H] have made more progress on the issue than nvidia has even attempted. However, it seems every time a fix comes along, nvidia breaks it with a new driver.

Check this thread and hopefully it will give you some clarity on the issue.
