Need help with something

I posted lastnight this post and have a current question as to what i can do.

I went to Frys and purchased the following items:

DFI LP NF3 250GB motherboard -
Boxed athlon 64 3000+ 754 socket
1GB Geil pc3200 Ram 2.5 -3-3-7 I believe

Here is what I had before

Barton 2500+
nf7-s nf2 mobo
3 sticks of Corsair XMS pc2700 ram, the cas2 supposedly OC'in ram, totaling 1.5gb

Now here is the question, with the stuff I just purchased, can I use the CORSAIR xms pc2700 ram, and have 1.5gb ram, instead of the 1gb Geil that I just bought, I mean, for one, it will save me money, 2 it will give me more memory, and 3 I can oc the 2700 to 3200 speeds, right?

One thread per subject, in the most appropriate forum, please. A thread that's still topical can be "bumped" back to the top of the list with a new post.

Patience is a virtue, my friend..... There are some very smart folks on these pages; give them some time to provide you the answers you need.

The first rule on the list is:

(1) Absolutely NO FLAMING OR NAME CALLING. Mutual respect and civilized conversation is the required norm.

It matters not who starts, who chips in, or who finished the flaming; it won't fly. Please PM a mod if someone's out of line.
