Alrighty, I have a Pinnacle PCTV 800i ATSC tv tuner.

It was a gift from my brother since he never used it, but he lost the CD with the TV tunner software, which wouldn't of made a difference since from what I have read, the software that comes with the card isn't vista x64 compatible.

That just leaves everything else.

Windows media center can't get signal from my card which is weird. I tried this program called AVS tv box, which works great for free, but I can't get sound to come out of it, and the settings menu says I have everything set up properly, but windows doesn't detect sound. I also tried a demo of cyberlink power cinema, which worked fine, got sound from it, but something about "TVenchance" or its PVR application was causing my cpu load to spike to 95%, making the picture skip and basically make it unwatchable.

I would like to maybe get AVS tv box to work because it had the best looking application setup, and channel menu. But windows media center would also be nice to get working. I also have a remote which came with the tuner which I don't know if I can get any of these 3rd party programs to work with.

Maybe that or suggest something else, I am kinda stuck up a river with this.

I think you first need to install the drivers for the card which is probably on that missing CD. Go here: http://www.pinnaclesys.com/PublicSi...dows+MediaCenter.htm?mode=documents&Display=1
Download and install the software and then run the TV setup in Media Center again. Good Luck!

Well if you read my post you would of seen that I did have working video in two of the programs I used.

Vista 64 actually had the base drivers all ready to go when I plugged it in. Which is kind of weird since pinnacles own site doesn't have drivers for x64 editions.

Nevermind about the AVS-TVbox program, I got sound working.

Any other TV tuner programs I could try or maybe if I could get my remote working with any of them.
