Need help with shuttle.

Hey guys,
I have the following (copied from invoice)
CPU INTEL CELERON 2.40G 478P 320 RT
DDRAM 256M|PC-3200 991092 MUSHKIN R
HD 40GB|MAXTOR 6E040L0 72R ATA133 %
CDRW LTON|52X32X52 SOHR-5238S BLK R
BRBN PC SHUTTLE MODEL SB65G2 RT

I put it together and installed Windows XP on it. After that I touched it and it was insanely hot. I turned it off and today tried it again after playing around with cooling. The computer loaded up and got stuck on the Win XP Pro Boot Logo with the little bar on the bottom in the middle after crossing about 3 times. I tried reseting the bios and pulling the CMOS battery. After I took out the battery, it wont turn on or anything. Any clue on what to do? Could I have damaged something by possibly overheating it?
 
The little green light on the mobo is on, but when I press the button it shuts off.
 
Did you use the thermal paste when attaching the heatsink?

I'd return it quick-smart. A Shuttle gets hot but shouldn't overheat, esp with a pissy little celeron. :eek:
 
Yes I used thermal paste (AS5) to be exact. This is not the first time I am building a computer. Whats return quick-smart? You mean RMA it?
 
Sorry. Quick-smart is anglo/aussie for right away.
Yes, return it. If you've built it properly there must be a hardware fault.
