I have a customer built pc that I built a couple of years ago and it has started just freezing. I am trying to figure out what is causing the problem. Is there anything in the event viewer that might be able to help? What specifically would I need to look for in there?
I am really trying to rule out everything. I am wondering if it is my SSD HD trying to die on me. I recently had one crap out on me at my office. I know tracking down freezing or locking up computers is like trying to find a needle in a hay stack, but as it does it more often, it is getting annoying. When it does it, it does not just freeze instantly, it more seems to get real sluggish and the mouse cursor will still move for a little while and then it finally freezes up.
I have run chkdsk and sfc /scannow and found nothing. About ready to try a repair install.
System specs:
Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H motherboard
AMD Phenom II X6 1090T
8 GB of DDR3 ram, dual channel.
Windows 7 Ultimate
LG Blu-ray Rewriter.
Suggestions?
