Hi all,
I recently upgraded my computer and everything was going good till I flashed the motherboard with a new bios and now the monitor randomly goes black anywhere from boot up, a few minutes after getting into windows 7, to several hours even though it's still getting a video signal using the igpu. I had previously had my discrete video card in it and it worked but whenever I would go to play games it would cause my computer to hard freeze and I'd have to reset my computer so I switched to the onboard igpu. I'm not sure where to put this so I put this here. The specs are listed below and any and all help would be appreciated.

Mobo: Asus p8h67-m evo b3 (bios 2103)
Cpu: Intel Core i3-2120 @ Stock
Ram: G.Skill Ripjaws X 8gb @1333
HD: Seagate Barracuda 500 gb
PSU: Corsair cx400 400w
Case: Ultra Microfly matx (Crappy but i'll be upgrading soon)
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64

P.S. - I ran intelburn test and memtest x86 and there was no problems with the ram. The temps usually stay around 20-30 degrees idle and around 40-50 degrees under full load. I think it might be the psu but not sure because I don't currently have access to another one to test it out. Thanks in advance. I also wanted to mention that I've reset cmos, tried the c.p.r. (cpu parameter recall) to see if those would help but they didn't.

Any chance that you can revert back to an older BIOs? Or reupdate the BIOs?
 
I've tried reverting to the original bios that was installed when I received the motherboard which was version 1502 and reupdated but the problem still persists. I did some searching using my phone and found someone with the same problems as I'm having on tomshardware and one of the users said that he solved the problem by unplugging his monitor and replugging it back in and it works for the most part but it still cuts out and sometimes it doesn't work at all. Some of the users are suggesting it could be a power problem so that could be my problem as well. I'm providing the link below so you can check it out and let me know if you think that could be my problem as well.

HIs issues disappeared for a while when he switched to a new GPU. Not exactly applicable in your case since you've tried the PC with both the onboard and dedicated GPU options and results were still the same.

Try reinstalling the onboard GPU drivers if you can.
 
I've reinstalled them several times and had no luck. Before i reinstalled the second time though i booted to safe mode just to see what would happen and i still had the same problem. I could be wrong but i'm thinking it's probably the power supply as it had no problems powering my old system which consisted of a evga 630i 7100 mobo, 2 gb ballistix tracers, 160 gb hd, liteon dvd burner, and a 9600 gt before that system died. The reason i think it might be the psu is whenever i leave the system off for long periods of time i can usually play a game for about 30 mins to an hour before it goes black.
 
Reformat and reinstall the OS.
Try a different video card
Make sure that screen-saver or screen dimming is disabled
Try a different hard drive
Try a different CPU
Try a different motherboard
 
I figured out what the problem actually is. It turns out my monitor is most likely going bad on me because whenever it goes black tapping the top of the monitor brings the video back so i'll end up having to replace it. I tried your suggestion and the monitor still would go black but that's when i tried tapping the top of the monitor and that worked. I just want to say thanks for your help though i appreciated it.
 
sounds like you can probably fix the monitor, if you're so inclined. if you do, let us know how it goes.
