I am having trouble overclocking my CPU on another computer. Here are my system specs for the pc:
Motherboard: Socket 939 Biostar NF4ST-A9 with Phoniex Bios (updated)
CPU: Amd Athlon 64 x2 (dual core) 3800+ with AC Freezer 64 Pro PWN
Memory: Kingston 512mb x2 PC3200
Graphics card: Nvidia Geforce 7900 GS 256mb with AC Accelero S1 with extra fan
Power Supply: 300W
In the bios settings I just change the CPU speed to 220mhz (2.2ghz). I do not change anything else. First two tries, boots and loads into windows and then I get a blue screen. Third try, the computer doesn't boot up and then consequently I had to reset the CMOS. I am not sure what I am doing wrong whether I need to change other settings in the bios ( memory speed, memory timings , voltage). Or there is something wrong with my system specs.
I know from looking around the web this proccesor is very good at overclocking and easy to overclock without too many adjustments to the bios. e.g http://www.pcper.com/article.php?aid=192&type=expert&pid=3
I appreciate any help anybody can give.
