I have my new P4 3.4 775 chip, in my AS8. I just got my watercooling setup working, and now my temps are wonderful, however I cant seem to push this chip very far, and very disappointed in it. I have only been able to push it to 3.7 (218x17)
voltages:
core 1.41
AGP/NB 1.6
DDR: 2.8
I was running this chip on air @ 3.5 250x14 for a long time @ 1:1 mem, so I know the chipset and mem can take the OC. Any more voltage on the CPU doenst seem to help much to get it to be prime stable @ anyting higher. I was hoping for more out of this chip then this when I decided to pay for a good wc setup. My temps are CPU 40, SYS 28 All the voltage rails are rock stable. Only thing i see is the CPU voltage drops a lot when its under load, when I have it set to 1.41 mbm5 only reads it @ 1.33 under load.Im not sure whats holdin me back. 3.7 out of a 3.4 sounds pretty sad for a OC when the temps are very low.
The CPU temp should be pretty good, cause when i was under air, I was getting very high readins @ 3.5 @ same voltage (54-58 load)
Any ideas would be much apreciated, and how high can the voltage be pushed for a 775 prescott? Mostly all my OC experience has been with AMDs, and this is my 1st intel system.
Thanks
