I just got a barebones system and was assured it would come with a very good power supply. Before anyone tells me to go to the calculator, I've tried that route, I'm 45 and have narcolepsy so it's tough for me to understand things.
What I do know is that I got a Scorpio (686?) black case and on the box it says it comes with a 350W P.S. but when I opened it up it has a Raidmax 420 watt P.S. and that name is on the list of bad power supplies at the top of the forum.
Here is what I'm going to build: The above case & P.S., mobo is an MSI PM8M3-V with a P-4 630 3.0Ghz cpu, an Asus DVD rom, a Plextor Premium CD-burner/ reader, later to be upgraded to a Plextor DVD burner, 2 sticks of 512mb ram, a WD 160Gb Sata 2 hard drive with 8Mb cache, a Pata WD 100GB hard drive with 2Mb of cache and a bunch of fans, about 5 80mm's, an AGP BFG 7800 GS OC vid card and a SB Audigy sound board.
I don't overclock anything, I don't like to endanger our PC in any way and that's why I asking pretty please for help on this. Is this P.S. on the bad list just because it's bad for power users or is bad in any type of system. If it's just plain bad, what would be good for what I'm building. I'm trying to stay $80- or less too because I've already spent a lot on what I have and had to get the most recent parts on credit.
TIA

That one wouldn't work because it doesn't have any molex plugs I just need a reliable supply for a family computer. Someone please help.
