I just recently built a new computer and it has heat issues. It has Intel Pentium 4 Prescott LGA775 3.0EGHz CPU and an MSI Neo Platinum i925X Chipset Motherboard. I've re-done the thermal compound but the heatsink still catches little heat and my CPU remains at a staggering 73C. I need desprate help with this issue. I have an ASPIRE Turbo Case (view at http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-144-030&depa=1 ) and have maxed out fans on the thing. Please tell me what I can do to fix this! :confused:

I was thinking about water cooling, but its a little expensive. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what can be done with my case fans, CPU fan, ect.? :confused:
 
what i would do:
remove the procersser and take off the heatsink. remove all thermal compound. then reapply the compound and make sure there isnt too much, or too little. also make sure u have a good heatsink not the stock 1 that comes with the processor. if that doesnt work, then u can try watercooling, there r cheap one out there (just over 100 bux) but not sure how well they work.
 
I don't really want a water cooling system. I've know some people who've had leaks, but that could have been anything from bad product, to bad installation. So I'm not too sure what kind of water cooling system to get. I've installed them before, but I'm gunna need some suggestions....
 
try with TT Tower112 + 2x 92mm fans? I have it with two Vantec Stealth 92mm fans and temp. doesn't reach 45C
