Need Help with Mobo Mounting

I'm working on an ITX build into a Nintendo 64 system. I just need some extra brainpower with mounting the mobo to the case. Right now the motherboard rests on the plastic, but I want to get it up at about 1/4" to keep the pins from bending on the bottom and give it stability. Does anyone have ideas for a cheap, low profile mounting option?
Thanks in advance :D

Here's a picture of the base

Drill/tap a #6/32 plug-bottom hole in the bottom half of the case and use standard mobo standoffs (6mm or about 1/4")?

Place a metalsheet inside and mount a couple standoffs on it. If using a pci card get the flexible extender and rest it on it's side. Still have the components for the N64? ;)

I'll have to dig some standoffs out of an old Pentium I have laying around. I said 1/4" but I think I meant 1/8" forgot how damned big that was...

I do have the parts, but they have been tested, not working. Also, I have two more "broken" systems, case and all.
