It has been quite a while since I have put together a computer, and I have just gotten fed up with the lack of speed in everyday applications, the inability to smoothly display any HD video whether it be flash-based or x264, lack of HD transcoding to the PS3 or 360, and poor gaming performance. I also just got a new HD video camera this past Christmas and would like to possibly edit movies from it. Mostly I would like to play games, but as you can see I am sprinkling in many other things.
Previous build was an Athlon 64 3000+ with 6800GT and 1GB Ram.
1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. Please be very specific.

7) What size monitor do you have and/or plan to have?
Currently using an old Dell 2001FPW. I would like to move to something that supports 1080p with HDMI, but it is not included in the budget, but should be considered.
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
In the next two weeks, unless advised against.
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? etc.
I would like to support Crossfire for possible future expansion, and if possible USB 3.0 and SATA 6GB/s
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If so, what OS? 32bit or 64bit?
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit waiting for a system worthy of it.
