Hi,

I bought Fear from play.com and when it arrived it was a DVD, not a CD. Problem is I don't have a DVD rom drive, I've borrowed a drive from my friend so I've managed to install the game and make an ISO of it but the problem is it still needs the DVD in to play. I'll be giving the drive back to my friend later and then I'll be screwed.

Does anyone know of a working crack for the latest patch or a way round this? I had a look and the only crack I could find was for if you downloaded the game, not the real copy. Funny how I get screwed for buying it when I could have downloaded it for less problems :/

Any help would be great.

PS: Yes I know DVD drives are like £15 :)

:confused: Nice Try. Could you please not ask about cracks in this forum. Take the game back to the store, get you money back & buy a DVD-ROM. Jeez.

Well... Then he'd have no use for a DVD-ROM drive! :p

I'd just Google around for a no-cd patch. I know that's frowned upon, but whatever, if you legally own the game, under your own roof, I'd say you have the right to do whatever you want with it, so long as you're keeping it to yourself. If you don't have any luck there, I'd say you're screwed. Return it, and get CD's, or just buy a DVD drive.
 
dO YOURSELF A favor and just buy the dvd-drive. then you can watch dvd's on your computer. plz join the 21st century. you're not very [h]ard if you don't even have a dvd-rom drive in your computer.

I have the Non-DVD version I'll gladly trade you for the DVD version. I've wanted the DVD version for a while now but I've been too lazy to head to EB Games and trade it in for the DVD version.
