Need help with Evil Genius

I have been unable to get past 2-5 minutes of play. In fact, I haven't even made it past the tutorial.

I have the retail US version.

Once the first 'Evil Genius' screen comes up on my monitor I hear 2 distorted bits of noise, then the game comtinues to load and run normally. I hear the music and sounds just fine. I can navigate the pre-game option menus also.

Once I begin plying the game I have what seems to be a random amount of time before I get a blue screen of death and the computer reboots. I have NOT had a crash to desktop at all. Mine reboots everytime.

My computer specs. are:

Abit AV8 motherboard with AMD 64 3500
Corsair XMS memory - 1 Gig.
BFG Tech Nvidia 6800 Ultra 65.73 drivers
Creative Audigy X-gamer

Windows XP-SP2

I run Ad-Aware and Spybot everyday. I also run Mcafee Virusscan. I have tried turning Virusscan off - this had no effect.

Can anyone help?
