I am in the market for a new monitor. I do some light video work with Premiere Pro CS6. I am not a pro, but would like a fairly good 27" monitor for about $500 or less. I have an Nvidia GTX 470 vid card and that has an HDMI and 2 each DVI-I connectors. Most of the monitors I've found have either display port or DVI-D connectors. Will the GTX 470 work connected to the DVI-D connector? Am I going to have to upgrade my video card too?
The two that look (by the specs and reviews) are Crossover 27QW and Qnix QX2710

1) Will the connectors work (DVI-I to DVI-D)?
2) Any other similar suggestions that have HDMI or DVI-I connectors?

DVI-I supports both DVI-A and DVI-D.

DVI-D = digital
DVI-A = analog
DVI-I = digital and analog

You will have no problem.

One other question about the two monitors. They compare fairly close in most details and in price. The one difference listed is panel.
The Qnix has PLS and the Crossover has AH-IPS.
Is there any advantage to one or the other?
