i found my old powerbook g4 1.6ghz today.

i book the lcd a few years back and left it in the closet and got a new one but now i found it, i want to hook it up to the home theatre.

i turned it on, and theres clicking noises so i replaced the hard drive.

now when i use the vga adapter it wont display.

soo my question is, is there a way to instal osx on my powerbook with the vga adapter? since my lcd is broken

can you install osx on a different computer onto the hd and then boot off it with powerbook after the install is fully done?

i only have a alienware desktop.

and 2 macbook pro. i dont think i can swap the hard drives out on the macbooks.

any other way?

well you could just hook the firewire cable between them and boot the ibook in target disk mode and then install from the macbook.

you could also pull the ibook hd out and put it in an external case and mount it from the macbook and install to it and then reinstall it in the ibook when done.
