Hey everyone, I am thinking about upgrading my sound system for my pc. I have a creative labs xfi fatality pro the 139.99 one. I also, have the logitech z5300e speakers. sounds decent i just redid my os and used the youp-pax xfi2 drivers for vista 32 bit.

So now i wanna see what can i do to go digital or optic... I saw a Creative Decoder DDTS-100 but cannot find it to buy anywhere locally and would like to have something for this weekend. so i was wondering if anyone can help me out finding a solution ? even if going with the above mentioned decoder i could go reciever as well. but my money is tight so i would like to go the cheapest i can go ... i am going to look around myself but thought i would post now and post back on stuff i find to ask for opinions.. thanks p.s. money maybe not more then 100 dollars

If you want to go on the cheap and use your existing speakers look at this

basically you upgrade the opamps and the sound quality improves dramatically :)
btw you can get the opamps free from national semiconductor

if you want to go digital you can use the flex jack to do spdif and get a 3.5mm to spdif adapter and the pipe that to a receiver just an fyi
