I have a few questions about the CoolDrive4 as I am planning to buy it.
1) I understand it uses 3pin fan connectors, so you can't connect fans that use normal 4pin molex. Can I connect my Zalman 7000AlCu fan to it and control the speed using the CoolDrive4? The Zalman fan uses the 3pin connector. I can't accidentally turn it completely off right? That would be disastrous.
2) If I buy some Tt Smart Case Fan 2 can I connect that to the CoolDrive4 and control the speed from the CoolDrive4 instead of using that small little rheostat that comes with the Tt SCF2? I assume I have to use the blue jumper to set it to full speed setting, but connect the 3pin to the CoolDrive4 so that power to the fan can be controlled. Is that correct?
3) What kind of thermal probes come with the CoolDrive4? Is it like the Thermaltake kind that is thin and can slip between the CPU pins or is it the thick fat kind?
4) Anyone have any other comments on this drive before I buy it?
Thanks guys.
Cheers.
