I'm not sure if it's something I'm doing wrong, but I only have one slider and it's for the HTT, and when I move the slider all of the values are affected including pci and agp. I want to overclock my machine which is a 3000+ venice, ASUS A8V Deluxe and 2 x 512mb Ballistix pc3200 memory, and I'm trying to follow the guides that I have found on here, but from what I understand there's supposed to be a slider for just the memory right? Why don't I have it, I am unable to find how fast my memory can go because of this, somebody please help!
 
You should change it from the bios if it is not working with clockgen(you sure you got the one for YOUR motherboard). Then before you overclock anything lock the PCI/AGP values.
 
Yeah i'm sure i have the one for my board. I went into the bios but i don't see a setting for the AGP or PCI frequency. Does this mean that I can't lock them? Am i just stuck with doing everything in the bios? Any help would be appreciated.
 
I have a ASUS A8N SLI Premium and I can't seem to lock the PCI. I found it in the BIOS and set it to 33mhz but it still saids that it is locked to my cpu, so when I scale it, it ups the PCI Freq, as well.

I also have the same problem with Clockgen
 
Thanks for the info, glad to hear that i'm not the only one. Guess i'll just mess around with the bios and see how far I can push my machine.
 
they should lock on their own if you're changing sutff in the bios. clockgen i'm not so sure about cause i've never used it haha
 
My experience with Clockgen is you start at the processor default eg. 200x10 for X2 3800+ PCI/AGP is unlocked but if you alter the BIOS to says 210x10 it is automatically locked. Some up the FSB/HTT, loosen your memory timing and lower the divider, change HTT multiplier to x3. Boot into windows, load Clockgen and off you go!
