Need help with a AOC LCD + 360

Ok my Current LCD crapped the bed on me it was a Acer H233H. ive had many of these that have ded within months. I got my Hands on a New Monitor from Staples on Clearance it was a AOC V22 LED 1680x1050. Was on Clearance for 99.00

Now here is my Problem When I put it on Optimum Resolution on the 360 it will play in The Native Res but it leaves black bars ontop and bottom of the screen.

Now When I set it to 1080P it looks a tiny bit stretched. a normal user prolly wont notice but I can.

Is this Normal or am i missing something. I know its not 1920x1080 but I really didnt have alot of cash to Fork out.

I did Notice that this Monitor is 16:10 is that why there are black bars?

The xbox 360 outputs at 16:9. If you use a 16:10 display your options are either black bars and maintaining aspect ratio, or full screen but distorted.

You will want the correct aspect ratio with black bars. I haven't heard of anyone preferring to have a distorted stretched image just to maintain full screen.
 
well right now im using it at Native res with the black bars doesnt bother me at all. i didnt like the full screen image. plus i like 16:10 monitors
 
thanks for the Tip. im going to end up bringing it back tho just because for some odd reason no matter what I do when I press the Power button off then back on it Restarts my 360 or ps3. Cant figure it out for the life of me.
