Need help with 2nd sata drive

Well last week I got 150gb raptor aa my os drive and a 400gb wd drive for storage. It was my first expierence with sata drives. Anyways i figured out how to get the second drive to show and to be able to access it (disk management). But today i re formatted my main drive, and now windows wont access the storage drive, it keeps saying i have to format it. I have stuff stored on there. Anyone know whats up?
