So yeah, some of you know I got the fatal1ty case. It's huge, and before this I just had my Shuttle on my desk, but now I have no approach.

What I want to do, Is for you guys to decide where my stuff should go, and if it'll fit.

So here are some pics of my desk.

Let me know where to put my crap. Also, notice 2 holes, those are for wires, the one in the middle is more like for the monitor, the one on the far right was for fax/printer.

But lets figure it out now, together :)

To be honest, I think it would be best to put the computer underneath the desk and out of sight. <ducks> Hear me out! That desk is gorgeous--it's got nice, clean lines and a great look. It's begging for a matching clean, sleek computer setup. The only problem is that there's nowhere to put your case on top of the desk that would hide the small forest of various-sized and various-colored cables coming out of the back of your computer.

So put it under your desk. Preferably, get it as high as possible off the floor (we all hate dust).

Or....here's a nutty idea: cut a rectangular hole in the desk, with a width the same as the computer width, and a length just a little less than the distance from the bottom front edge to the top rear edge. Then the computer can be placed in this hole with the back rear corner pointed down and the front panel pointed up and towards you. Let me see if I can do this in ASCII:

Does that make sense? That way you could still have easy access to the external drive bays and front panel ports, and be able to show off at least half your case (including that all-important logo!) while hiding the cable jungle.

But hey, that's a nutty idea.

Btw, I made that desk myself from scratch :D
 
looks fine, as long as you don't mind all that HDD/fan noise at ear level, i would rig a mounting to the desk underneath, but whatever works for you
 
There is no HDD noise because of the rubber rack.

The fans you get used to, but I can always tone it down a notch. It's not that loud, it's just the GPU fan is on full and it's at 39 degrees load (7900GT OC)

Also, I had my old rig mounted on stands screwed to the desk, and it was hell. It moved a lot, fell sometimes, etc. Hard to maintain.

Props on the skills! Did you make the plan yourself, buy a kit, or what?
 
an idea that would clean that setup a LOT, is to put the case against the wall, on the far end of the desk... run the cables down through the hole that's already there and get some extension cables to make em reach where you need them.
