Here is my setup:

Antec NeoPower500W
ASUS A8N-E
X2 3800+
ASUS 7800GTX
2 SATA Raptor 74GB in sata ports 3 & 4
1 PATA Maxtor 300GB
2 X Corsair TwinX 2GB Dual Channel

HTT LINK TO 4X
Memory to DDR333 with relaxed timing
CPU Multi X 10
CPU Volts 1.45
Memory Volts Stock

can't get past 220.

I'm wondering if the SATA are really locked ?? Is there any place is the bios to fix that ? My PCI is locked at 33MHz

Temp are very low. Like 45 under load.

Suggestions ?

I followed the A64 overclocking guide, and it tells me i'm definately Motherboard limited... by board can't get past 220-230, no mather what... even tried with htt 1x-2x, ddr200, etc..

any tips ? I learned here this was supposed to be a good (not best, but still) overclocker

need suggestions !

Help !

Do you have different ram you can test with? Sometimes the larger sticks don't oc as well, can mess with the mem controller on your proc.

Do you really think It will change something ?

I mean, at DDR 200, my RAM are running slower than they should, already, no ?

Sometimes it doesn't matter. For example, one of the guys playing with new opteron's was around 280htt, stuck in two exta sticks of RAM and couldn't get higher than 230htt. Number and density of sticks can change your oc drastically.

tried with only one stick with the same results..

updated bios to 1.008 and same results...

weird

i have this mobo, it does not have ram divider, if you have good ram then you can overclock well with this board, but all i have is corsair value ram so if i push it past 216mhz (around there) it becomes unstable

Edit: also i dont know if yours has this problem or not, but mine wont lock the pci bus, i can set it to 33.33 but it wont lock it there it will start to change. i have the 1008 bios too.

Is there an option for that mobo to set pci bus to Auto? Also, try running clockgen and see what speed the pci bus is actually running at.

Raised DDR voltage to 2.8V and I'm now prime stable at 2.65GHz (265 X 10) @ 1.5V

Temps are at 54 full load.

I'm pretty happy with that :)

Thanx for the tips about the memory guys ;)
