Hello,

I am quite used to overclocking but since this is a new setup and since I have been in the AMD camp for 3 years, I am a little bit "off" when it comes to overclock a Pentium 4.

First, my system is in my sig. I successfully overclocked that P4 to 3.375GHz regardless of RAM timing. I want to isolate the CPU from the RAM for now.

I have noticed that when I overclocked the CPU to 3.30GHz, the RAM was at a ratio of 3:2. I don't know where to manually change the FSB/RAM ratio in the BIOS. And when I manually selected to set the RAM to 400MHz, my computer didn't post.

Anyway, here is the sSpec of my CPU :

3GHZ/512/800
SL6WU MALAY
L335B061

What kind of CPU do I have in my hands? What is the stepping? Is it a good one?

So far, I am not impressed by its overclocking prowess..

Do you know a helpful guide to overclock a pentium 4.

Thanks

Ah, by the way, I know my ram is able to do at least 220MHz. I did it on my NF7-S V2.0 with CAS 2-3-2-6. I just hope it will do the same on that motherboard
