need help stabilizing DDR3 overclock

Hi.

I recently assembled a new pc using an ASUS P5Q3 deluxe motherboard and a 2x2 PC3-12800 kit from OCZ (reaper HPC).

the memory is rated at 7-7-7-24 @ 1600Mhz @ 1.9v, and the motherboard should be able to reach these specs (according to its spec page).

when i set everything up (i set the timing, clock and voltage to the above values) my system becomes unstable (it hangs after ~60 minutes of normal usage, or almost immediately after starting orthos).

the system is stable at 7-7-7-24 @ 1333Mhz @ 1.9v, so i think this is a memory overclock issue.

my problem is that this is my first attempt at overclocking and other than the settings i change i dont really know what else to try, so any suggestions will be welcome.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

What are your system specs? What video card(s) do you have? After I ugpraded my video cards from radeon 3870's to 4870's, my OCZ 1600mhz ram was no longer stable at it's default settings 7-6-6-24 @ 1.9v. It's stable at 1333mhz 6-6-6-18 @ 1.9v though.

How much are you overclocking? Try upping your northbridge voltage up incrementally to see if it helps any.
