I have a x thermaltake silent 480 watt right now, and its starting to make high pitch sounds and is very loud. I've had it for about 3 years now i think its time for a new one. I need one thats very quiet because this one i have now is too loud. Also want those new psu with the plugs on the psu idk what they are called. a 120mm fan and 500 watt, anyone have one they would recommend?

Without knowing anything about system specs, I'm just gonna go with the first thing off the top of my head.

Corsair HX Series CMPSU-520HX 520W

Agreed

The Corsair are really the best out there right now. The 520HX is really powerful and can even handle an 8800GTX in a system with tons of other stuff.

It provides good clean power and is backed by an awesome company

I also love the flat type cables it uses ;)

Damit I'm sorry I forgot to give my specs, i was tired when i posted. The psu you posted wont work because I don't have a SLI.

I have:
Windows Vista 64 bit
2 Gigs Ramm
K8V SE Deluxe Asus mobo
two 80 gig hard drives
AMD 64 3400+
RADEON x850 pro

I just need a quieter psu, that won't make high pitch sounds anymore this one i have has gotten old. Also a bonus i want modular cabel connectors.
