ok here is details.
I am planning to build out a Linux based HTPC.
at the moment considering MithBuntu, Xubuntu or XBMC or MythTV on Linux Mint 16 Mate

the hardware I have or even thinking of buying does/will have a WiFi card and reguar gig nic.
how would I go at setting up the machine to be an WiFi access point/network extender?

I have a router in the basement which doubles as WiFi router, but it is not strong enough to reach all my house. I have a linksys router working as AP on the first floor to extend the WiFi.
but if I have an always on perfectly good HTPC in the same location, which does not need the wifi as it has a wired connection, can I use the Wireless card in it to do what the Linksys does?
and if yes, how?
thanks
