Rig:
AMD64 3500+
Asus A8V deluxe
2x512 pc3200 corsair valueselect
CPU fan 80mm Tornado on a nexus fanspeed controller
generic 4x dvd-rw
2 7200rpm HD's
evga 6800 limited flashed to 6800 ultra 1.5v 400mhz clock
4 generic case fans

Well I started out with an Austin 450 that came with my cheiftec case and I didnt like the low 12v rail (11.5 playing 3d games) so I got a fortron 530, but it was even worse 11.43 on the 12v while gaming and my tornado is spinning up and down upwards of 300-400rpm when I turn it anywhere past the lowest on my nexus (7v)

My 6800 is giving me pink reflections in lighting effects in HL2 occaisonally (not really reprodueable) so Im guessing its that 11.43 thats doing it to me.

Right now Im looking at the new Tagan 480-u22 with the dual 20a 12v rails or the switch to single 30a 12v. Is this a good choice, would it eliminate my problems with my tornado and my vid card?

all voltage readings come from my asus mbm software.

Thanks,
Simps

Repeat after me: Software voltage readings are unrealiable....software voltage readings are unreliable. Check it with a multimeter before you start tossing it out.

I would look at an OC'd videocard being your color issue before the PSU.

Long story short the card was basically a batch of 6800Ultras that got underclocked and renamed just about everyone who bought one had a full fledged ultra once reflashed so it should be capable of 400.

Also what of the problem with my tornado constantly spinning up and down.

I have a multimeter (got it for christmas) but I have no idea how to check anything with it, any guides out there?

I bolded some important things there. No OC or flash is gaurenteed to be stable.

Could also be the fan controller, need to eliminate each part one at a time.

Thanks, I did the readings using a molex from my dvd-rw and it averaged 12.03. I started up Prime95 and HL2 and It was averaging 11.99-12.00 and it didnt drop below 11.98. Guess I dont need a new PSU. Thanks you just saved me $100
