My budget is about 380 Shipped for a new lcd so i can't have it to expensive i have looked at a few model. The 20.1 Viewsonic looks nice, The BENQ 20.1 is really cheap and looks decent. I am also curious about HDCP support and how much would that help me in the futrue.. This is a once in a while purchase for me so i need to make the right choice on Quality vs price..

Thanks for the HElp! :D

Yeah i not sure what exactly I should get sold a bunch of my crap on ebay just to be able to afford it so.. I wanna make it workthwhile :p

I'm floating along with you guys but I'm probably going to get the viewsonic vs2025wm. Another option is Dell's 2007FPW (might be WPF...doesn't matter) which can be bought refurbished for $330. They are known for banding issues, but dell is repairing them so if you get a defective unit you'll be fine. For your price range, I doubt HDCP is a reality.

Darn HDCP looks cool but o well a regualAr LCd good enough for me :)

were you see these Dell Refurbished i couldn't find them on there site.

Also i saw a 2005FPW in mint condition so the man says on Ebay for 330 shipped? good deal... Bad deal?

Here's a direct link to the Dell page for refurb. monitors -> Refurb Monitors

For $330, I would just get the 2007 refurbished over the 2005. The 2007 has s-video and composite inputs in addition to dvi and vga, so that's a definite plus (although they are both outdated). Also, the styling of the 2007 is supposedly much nicer. The only reason to get a 2005 is because they aren't subjected to the banding issue (although Dell claims this has been fixed with the 2007s).

EDIT: Actually, the 2007 supposedly has HDCP (read it in another post on these forums...don't know for sure)
