I have a mainboard with a ICS932S431A PLL and i'd like to push the BCLK strap from 133MHz to 166-200MHz. I'm pretty sure i'll be locked out from the software side of things (haven't tried yet, still waiting for the CPUs). So a pinmod is the next logical thing to do.
So i'm thinking of simply connecting FS_A to FS_B, FS_A is logical 1 (so theres voltage Vil_FS) and FS_B is 0 (no voltage). The 3rd Option for FS_B and FS_C would be Vih_FS for testmod/testsel i guess.
Can anyone approve my theory? This russian guy semms to have done something simmilar http://hwbot.org/article/newsflash/832_pinmod_for_core_i3i5i7_by_pain_666

BTW this going to be for a Westmere-EX quadsocket setup 40C/80T c:
Edit:
It could also be that Vih_FS is logical 1 and Vil_FS is 0. But the delta from Vil_FS and Vih_FS would still be in the Vih_FS range so still logical 1.... Wow thats hard to follow through..
Edit2:
Did some further digging, this guy saving his old OEM board basically answered all of my questions.
