Hey guys,

I've been out of the loop for awhile when it comes to video cards. I remember the good ol' Voodoo days...

Anyways, currently I have this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130071

Now, which would be my best option?

This for $214.99? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127429

Or $20-$40 cheaper for this? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130433

Between the two, is there a huge difference? I was looking at the spece on both and there didn't seem to be. Obviously because the 260 is overclocked, but can't I overclock the 275 as well? Also, with my current system (in sig), which would be better?

Thanks, guys!

If I were you I'd wait. There's new cards being announced VERY soon. Even if you're not going to grab the latest and greatest, the price on those cards you mentioned will very likely drop upon the announcement.

However; if you MUST get a card now Id recommend that gtx 260 superclocked. It performs very well and with Evga you can always step-up within 90 days to a newer card (let's hope the 300 series is physically launched in that time frame.)

What do you mean I can step up to a nicer card within 90 days? Is that some policy EVGA has?

yeah, evga and bfg(unless bfg does not do it anymore?) have step up programs, you get what you paid for your card towards a new one.

Wait wait wait, so within 90 days I can be like, "Yo, I spent $200 on this card and I want to upgrade. Can I put that $200 towards an upgraded card and just pay the difference, word up?"

And EVGA will be like, "Oh yeah fo sho, that's why we pwn".

yep

Lol just make sure you register the card on Evga's website as soon as you get it, and you can upload a screenshot of your invoice from newegg.

Evga is also cool in that after registering you can get a free copy of 3dmark Vantage and/or some games. <3 Evga
