Hey guys. It's getting pretty damn close to Doom 3 time, and to get my rig into shape for the game, I wanted to oc my video card.

What program(s) are the best for overclocking my 9800 Pro? I'm talking about effectiveness, ease of use, and reliability.

Also, is overclocking a video card anything like OCing a CPU? I know you're supposed to increase core speed until you begin to get artifacts, and then back off a little, but what effect will increased core speed have on the memory? Will that create a "harmful" disparity in your GPU/VRAM speeds? How will I know when to increase, and stop increasing my VRAM speeds? Is there a RAM divider like there is with CPU:RAM overclocks?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I used ATI Tool and it will automatically find the max overclock. I got 395 core and 370 memory on stock voltage for my 9800 Pro.
