I built my PC in june, and to be quite honest, i don't think i'm getting the full power of the computer out

I have the Asus a7n8x-d mobo w/a barton 2800+ and an ati radeon 9700 pro video card

I have the mobo set at 166fsb and thats all i know so far that i have it at. Also, i dl'ed the omega drivers for the radeon card.

If somebody could tell me what else i could do, that would be great :D Thanks alot guys

Um. How about some more complete specs?

And yeah, when was the last time you formatted?

yea i'm from you know where

Yes, the last time i reformatted was in June. I dont wanna reinstall all of my programs though, so is reformatting the only way? :sad2:

And to OC it i need more cooling stuff which i dont have the money for  I'm running it at 50ºC already :hs:

For more complete specs, it also has a DVD-ROM, 52*32*52 CD-RW, 160gb WD hd and 80gb WD slaved to that. and that's about it

You could have technology straight from nasa, if the OS is bloated and poopin out it wont do any good.

It's all in the BIOS, buddy. If you had an Abit board, it would be so much simpler. A simple run into SoftMenu and you can adjust voltages, CPU speed, RAM to FSB ratios, etc.

I'm also in Illinois, DeKalb actually. Where are you?

Why does everyone want to format the drive?
I've got machine with Win98 that I installed almost 5 years ago and it still runs like a champ.
Been maning to upgrade to XP, but everytime I am at the office I can't wait to go home (I do most of my work from home anyways so I should just bring the machine home).

Oh, MrFace, if you would have broken rule #1, I would have told on you. :D
