I have never done a watercooling setup before, but I'm planning to invest in one as a little gift to myself for the upcoming holidays. :D I have about a $250 budget available, and I already have the tools and the know-how to modify my case to fit the job.

Case - Rocketfish (rebranded lian li full tower)
Mobo - EVGA X58 SLI
I already have enough fans

What I'm planning:

Enzotech sapphire waterblock
Bitspower evga x58 chipset block
Bitspower evga x58 vreg block
DD CPX Pro pump
Swiftech MCR320-QP Rad

I'm planning to get compression fittings since they seem to be worth the extra money, is there any advantage of larger/smaller tubing sizes?
Is the pump beefy enough to push through all those blocks?
And lastly, is a res worth getting?

The pump is probably powerful enough but if i was you i would spend the couple extra bucks and get a swiftech mcp655. Thats what I use and its pretty awesome. you don't NEED a res but I think it is good to have one especially if this is your first water build. Makes filling alot easier and monitoring your water level. Just make sure your res is physically higher than your pump in your loop.
