Need help on overclocking my AMD Athlon 7750 Kuma BE 2.7...

trying to hit 3.0Ghz on a Foxconn A74MX-K motherboard when no errors.
All i did was set the CPU clock to 226. that gave me 3.04GHz, but when i went into prime25 gave me 1 error. what else you think should i do?

Coming from an Intel guy,

you dont need to change the FSB.. you only need to change the multiplier and voltages.. black edition processors are simple to overclock.. none of that fsb garbage.. so just keep raising the multiplier til it fails.. then raise the voltage one notch at a time til its stable.. if you want to go higher you can..

200x13.5= 2.7ghz
200x14= 2.8ghz
200x14.5=2.9ghz
200x15 =3.0ghz
200x15.5=3.1ghz
200x16=3.2ghz
200x16.5=3.3ghz
200x17=3.4ghz

that should give you an idea of how the cpu multiplier works..

Please note that this only holds true for Phenom I processors. The Phenom II processors can overclock pretty good with reference clock.
