need help ip35 setup with 6750

can anyone help me? why is my core speed only 2040 Mhz? any suggestions on settings in bios.

hardware:

ip35 pro
6750
tuniq tower
crucial ballistic 2 GB
 
your multiplier is set at 6 when it should be set at 8 as default

your bus speed (340)x(6) your multiplier is giving you = 2040mhz, but if you change it to 8 it will put you back at stock speeds. That proc/mobo is pretty sweet i have the same :cool:
 
I can't see the pic since im at work but i have the exact setup to the T that you have. I currently have mine set at 3.7GHz rock stable so I'll tell you what i changed in the bios.

In your uGuru bios settings change your multiplier to 8 and change your FSB to 460. Then go into your voltages and bump up you vcore to 1.5. Now a word of caution with this, Mine is set at 1.5 in bios but i get an actual vcore of about 1.46-47. You may need more or less depending on your cpu.

Then make sure your ram voltage is set to 2.2 and that is all i had to change voltage wise. Some may suggest bumping your MCH(northbridge voltage) or your cpu VTT, but i didn't need to.

Go back to your main bios screen and go into advanced bios features(i think). Then go into CPU Feature and turn C1E and EIST off. This will prevent your multiplier from being changed based on cpu load.

Next go back to the main bios screen again and into your advanced chipset features and manually set the first 4 values. I am able to run my crucial at 4-4-3-9 1T. If you have the latest bios you will be able to manually set the command rate to 1T or 2T, 1T being better. This is more of a trial and error. you may or may not be able to run timings like this or you may be able to get tighter timings. I personally didn't feel like overvolting my ram so i got it as tight as i could and let it be.

Now personally i prefer slightly lower bandwidth at 1:1 with tighter timings over using a memory divider with more bandwidth and looser timings. Anyway, i hope this helps!

Thanks to all the help. That did the job. My temps are 35 idle and 42 load. Is this normal? Time to get Bioshock. Woohoo!
