Is it a legitimate, legal XP CD? Or is it a burned copy?
It must be a legit copy of xp because someone wouldnt rip off microsoft.

lol , now who would rip bill off?

i bet its a burned copy of a "legit" disc.

although , i have seen instances where a 52X cdrom wouldn't read a burned"legit" copy of xp,
where as a dvd burner WOULD read the same disc.

quite a while ago i broke my XP pro disc (literally) , and i had a friend burn a copy of his for me to use with my key (we bought our copies at the same time ).

i had numerous problems with corrupt files , unreadable portion of the disc , and missing files.
i got my buddy to bring over his copy and i burned it in MY burner , and then it worked perfectly.
